The four seasonal color types
The four-season system combines undertone with brightness, clarity, and softness.
Treat the result as a starting point rather than a rule for replacing everything you own.
Try colors near the face—such as lipstick or tops—and keep the ones that make you feel comfortable.
- Spring: clear, light warm colors such as coral, ivory, camel, and apple green
- Summer: soft, light cool colors such as rose pink, lavender, sky blue, and light gray
- Autumn: deep, muted warm colors such as terracotta, mustard, khaki, and chocolate brown
- Winter: vivid, clear cool colors such as wine red, royal blue, black, and pure white
